Glades Presbyterian Church History


Our church began in 1987 when a handful of families went to the Presbytery to begin the dedicated work of starting a new church in West Boca Raton.  On February 5, 1989, Glades was chartered and joined in unity with The Presbyterian Church (USA).

Nearly 20 years later, with the grace of God, passionate and committed members of the church have been able to build two buildings: The Sanctuary build in 1994 and The Education Building in 1999.  In the future, there is room to build one more building, which will be the main Sanctuary and will conclude the final stage of development for Glades Presbyterian Church.

The Education Building was built not only to accommodate our Sunday School classrooms, but also assist the community with meeting space for scouts, small children enrichment classes and AA sponsored meetings.  The Sanctuary is also utilized by other churches.
